Go therefore and make disciples...

The Mission

At Calvary Chapel Three Crosses, our mission is simple and unchanging: to teach the Word of God and to share the life-giving message of Jesus Christ. We are a community rooted in grace, growing in faith, and committed to pointing people to the truth of God’s love. If you’re new here, we would love to get to know you. The Vision

The vision of Calvary Chapel Three Crosses is create a community of authentic believers and to witness a city transformed by the life changing reality of the gospel, as people come to know Jesus as their lord and savior.

Meet the team.

Dwayne Thompson

Senior Pastor
Born in 1968 in Welch, West Virginia.
Graduated high school in 1986 and served in the U.S. Army as an electronics specialist repairing air defense radar systems until an honorable discharge in 1990.
Married Norma Thompson on March 13, 1990, and later settled in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he entered the electrical field and completed the Electrical Apprenticeship program at Doña Ana Community College.
In 1993, through attending church and a home fellowship, Norma accepted Christ and he rededicated his life to the Lord, marking a turning point in their lives and faith.
After leaving a non-denominational church due to false doctrine, they found a home at Calvary Chapel Las Cruces in 1994 and were deeply shaped by verse-by-verse Bible teaching.
In 2004, God led them to Calvary Chapel Sun City, where a home fellowship eventually grew into a church.
He was ordained as a pastor and has faithfully served as God continues to provide and grow the ministry.
He and Norma are blessed with two daughters, born in 1998 and 2003.

Fred Hogsett

Associate Pastor
Pastor Fred gave his life to the Lord in 1989 and was ordained at Calvary Chapel Three Crosses in 2013. For more than 35 years, he has faithfully served in youth and children’s ministry, helping the next generation grow in their walk with Christ. Since 2008, he has also been actively involved in worship ministry, using music as a way to lead people into God’s presence.
Alongside his work at CC3C, he regularly shares the gospel at the Gospel Rescue Mission, bringing hope and truth to those in need. He has been married for 35 years and is the proud father of three children and one grandchild, and he considers his family one of God’s greatest blessings.

Fernando Cambron

Associate Pastor
I heard the Gospel for the first time when I was in 2nd grade (1989) and knew I needed Jesus as my Savior! At age 17 (January 2000), after running for a while, I realized that many want a Savior, but not too many want Jesus to be Lord. Lord means “Master”. It was then that I rededicated my life and got plugged in. My wife and I got married in 2004 and soon after we left to the mission field in Central America. We returned to the states in 2008 where I became the Youth Pastor and Missions Director at Calvary Chapel Rancho Cucamonga. I was ordained in April of 2015 and continued serving until December 2020 when the Lord called us out to Las Cruces, NM. We have been fellowshipping and serving at CC3C since January of 2021.

Marco Ramirez

Associate Pastor
Pastor Marco Ramirez serves as an associate pastor at Calvary Chapel Three Crosses, where he shares God’s Word with passion and humility.
He grew up in Grant County, New Mexico, and has been married to JoAnn for 32 years; they have three grown children.
Marco served in the United States Navy and has been part of the Calvary Chapel family for over 30 years, serving as an elder/pastor for 8 years.
He gave his life to Christ during an Amway convention with the motto “there is hope in soap,” not realizing that the true hope that would change him forever was found in Jesus Christ.
Jesus has been his Lord and Savior since he was 19, and his favorite passage of Scripture is John 1:1-5 — a verse that deeply shapes his love for Christ and ministry.
Marco feels incredibly blessed to serve wherever God calls him and believes that without Jesus, there is no true hope in life.
